NOMINATED FOR NAACP IMAGE AWARD
The 37th NAACP Image Awards has nominated Pam Grier for Outstanding
Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. This is the second year she has received
this nomination for her role as Kit Porter on "The L Word." Also nominated this
year were:
- Aisha Tyler - "24" (FOX)
- Chandra Wilson - "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC)
- Kerry Washington - "Boston Legal" (ABC)
- S. Epatha Merkerson - "Law & Order" (NBC)
In 2004, Grier was nominated for the NAACP Image Award in this category for
her role in "Law and Order: SVU" (NBC).
The NAACP Image Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements and
performances of people of color in literature, television, motion pictures, and
recording arts. The 37th NAACP Image Awards will be presented February 25, 2006
at the Shrine Auditorium in Beverly Hills, California. The awards ceremony will
air March 3 (8:00 - 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on FOX.

February 22, 2003.
- Lifetime Achievement Award on September 5, 2002 at the 4th bfm
International Film Festival.
- Career Achievement Award, 1st Annual High Falls Film Festival, October 20,
2001. This award was actually the Susan B. Anthony Lifetime Achievement

- National Black Theatre Festival Award.
- Golden Slate for Best Female Performance in 2000 at the Csapnivalo Awards
for her performance in Jackie Brown.
- Nominated for Outstanding Performance in an Animated Program, May 2000 for
"Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child".
- Runner-Up for Best Actresses, Musical or Comedy, for her performance in
Jackie Brown, 1997. This is an award that Pam should have won for Jackie
Brown.
- Runner-Up for Best Actresses, Screen Actors Guild, for her performance in
Jackie Brown, 1997. Another award that Pam should have won for Jackie
Brown.
